Half Moon Festival riasies £8,450

Over five glorious days, 153 performers20 volunteers, and hundreds of guests came together to create an atmosphere brimming with generosity, artistry and warmth. The result? £8,450 raised for The Rosemary Foundation — a local hospice-at-home charity that continues to provide vital care to those who need it most.

That total, while impressive in numbers, represents the power of a community to rally around a cause, to sing, to turn a pub garden into a festival field, and to do it all with good humour and open hearts.

From Tuesday’s curtain-raiser by CCADS Theatre Company, who gave us “Rhythm of Life” in more ways than one, through to Saturday’s joyful crescendo with The Locksmiths, each act added their own voice to a tapestry of music and meaning:

  • Encore Choirs lifted spirits with an uplifting mix of pop, soul, and musical theatre

  • John Lofthouse & Fleur de Bray captivated with arias from CarmenFigaro, and more

  • Holy Fellowly,  ShedloadOli Patient, and Chloe & Tom brought acoustic warmth and originality

  • Fleur Ash, May Contain Nuts and Parallel Lines gave us the ultimate Friday night party

  • Charlie, Jo and Kate ensured an energetic start to Saturday with a fitness class

  • Rock Choir delivered familiar anthems with trademark joy

  • The Mantons, our musical medics, reminded us that rhythm can heal too

  • Rehab Blues and Fate of the Magpie filled the afternoon air with jazz, ska, and folk

  • Leave It to JohnnyKen Wood & The Mixers, and The Locksmiths brought the house down in a grand finale of energy and celebration

Whether you bought a ticket, made a donation, poured a pint, volunteered on the gate, built or dismantled the festival stage and site, or simply clapped along from a picnic bench, thank you. This event doesn’t happen without the passion and generosity of our performers, team, and supporters.

Special thanks also go to The Half Moon team and our wider Entertainment Events crew who worked tirelessly to make the event run smoothly

We’ll be back! The 2026 Festival will return from 14–18 July, and early bird tickets are on sale now — limited in number and time.

But if you can’t wait that long…
