£15,100 Raised as Entertainment Events Celebrate Record-Breaking Summer

It has been a summer like no other for Entertainment Events Ltd, with three major festivals lighting up Petersfield and the surrounding villages – and raising a record-breaking £15,100 for The Rosemary Foundation.

Between The Half Moon Summer Festival (£8,450 raised), the Hawkley Beer Festival (£4,150 raised) and the Petersfield Fringe Festival (£2,500 raised), hosted at Churcher’s College, more than £15,000 has flowed towards The Rosemary Foundation. This marks the most successful summer yet for the volunteer-operated, non-profit events company.

Audiences across the three festivals were treated to a dazzling array of entertainment:

  • The Half Moon Summer Festival welcomed packed gardens for five days of live music, from show-stopping choirs and classical opera to rock, pop and party bands.

  • The Hawkley Beer Festival combined local ales, live bands and family fun in the garden of The Hawkley Inn, creating a vibrant community celebration.

  • The Petersfield Fringe Festival brought six days of theatre, comedy, music and family shows to Churcher’s College, with highlights including new writing, one-man plays, Disney classics and appearances from much-loved local groups such as Winton Players, Hawkley Players, CCADS, Shepherd’s Crook Productions and solo artists like Tony Johnson, Cassandra Rix and Richard Saxel.

Behind the scenes, dozens of volunteers and partners made these events possible – from staging, lighting and bar services to performers, directors and community groups who gave their time and talent.

Speaking after the Fringe Festival curtain came down, Entertainment Events co-founder Chris Pellett said:
“This summer has shown what happens when community, creativity and generosity come together. We are very pleased to have raised over £15,000 for The Rosemary Foundation in just three months, through affordable Entertainment..”

With the summer season now concluded, attention is already turning to autumn and winter events, including the ever-popular Burns Night Celebrations. If 2025’s summer is anything to go by, the year ahead promises more memorable nights – and more vital fundraising – than ever.
